The University of Arkansas is located in Fayetteville， AR. We are a state-supported university with 249 buildings spread across more than 1，000 acres (about the size of downtown Dallas) and are consistently ranked among the top universities in the country for undergraduate teaching by U.S. News & World Report. The University also has two other campuses—the Walton College of Business in Little Rock， which features our MBA programs， as well as UA-Monticello at the site of the former Monticello State Mental Hospital about an hour south on I-40. Our Medical Campus in Little Rock houses the schools of medicine and dentistry， but most clinical education is conducted through our affiliated hospitals in Fort Smith， Texarkana和Monticello， or our Regional One affiliate in Memphis， TN.
Fayetteville is in Northwest Arkansas，about 35 miles north of the Ozarks，and 30 miles from the center of NWA's walnut production area. Home to over ten thousand students，with more than half coming from out of state，UArk gives the town a youthful energy that helps it thrive. With a rich history that includes the Battle of Wilson’s Creek and being home to the largest Confederate Memorial in the nation，there's plenty to learn when you take a break from studying. Hiking and biking trails wind their way around campus where you can see herds of buffalo grazing．Fayetteville is less than four hours from two major international airports. In addition， we have direct service from several smaller cities throughout the Midwest.
Our main campus is only one of many sites in this large university system；in fact，more than 87 percent of all courses are offered online so that students may enroll from anywhere within the state of Arkansas and around the world.
